These pieces explore the tension and anticipation created as opposing forces meet in the crossroads of coming and going. One force advances while its counterpart is forced into retreat.

I believe it is this relationship that gives the morning light its life and awe--the advancing sun meets the night to force the darkness into retreat.

This show explores analogous relationships dealing with the rising and falling tide, life and death of the desert, the crashing of waves and others.

All works in this show are"digital paintings" meaning they have been painted on the computer with special tools and software designed to imitate natural media such as oils.
